Veteran defenseman Joel Bouchard will take part in the Blue Jackets training camp under a tryout agreement the Dispatch is reporting. He has played 364 games with 22 goals and 53 assists (75 points) and 264 penalty minutes. Apparently he has had a career plagued with injury and in 2000 almost died of spinal meningitis.
