Jussi Markkanen and Jamie McLennan have both decided to leave the NHL and head on over to play some international hockey. Markkanen has signed with Jokerit of the Finnish Elite League. It's a one year deal. Jordi is already in mourning and to be honest...I can't blame her. Jussi was a great goaltender and seemed fairly happy in Edmonton. Jamie McLennan who is probably best remembered for his 18 second appearance in the playoffs...has signed in Russia.
"It was always in the back of my mind that it would be interesting to play overseas near the end of my career," said McLennan via e-mail, "so, when the opportunity was there, I looked at it."I always liked McLennan he's never really played too awfully much and was quite the floater here in the NHL but he was at least good for a laugh...
