Well the Columbus Blue Jackets may have lost tonight and had a lot of turn overs but I saw a lot of things that I liked. I liked the fact that Adam Foote had a short handed goal. I liked the fact that Freddy made a lot of big saves...even though he was trying to poke check on that first one and it didn't go over too hot. I did get mad at my boys and turn it off for the last 8 minutes. I did like the fact that Nikolai Zherdev had an assist on all of the goals by us...but like Michael pointed out...he was out on the ice for all of the Wild's goals.
I dislike the Wild's game as much as the next person which doesn't really make sense because I'm a huge fan of the Devils...but the way the Devils do it is exciting because Marty always makes the big saves and they're pretty entertaining and quite frankly...Backstrom isn't that entertaining. However Backstrom won the game tonight. Brent Burns who is my favorite Minnesota Wild player had a goal and was third star of the game.
I will write more about the game tomorrow...but, I just wanted to toss a quick post up...and say what's with all the shorties tonight?! Blue Jackets had one, Tampa had one, Anaheim had one, New Jersey had one, Ottawa had one, Montreal had one, Boston has one, and finally Chicago has one...and the night is not even over!! Anyway goodnight everyone...and twin this is for you...Go Yotes!!

Brad May Hit
I had been looking for this video just to see it...so here we can see the actual hit. May was suspended for 3 games for this. May has since apologized to Johnsson, the Minnesota organization, and also to the Boogeyman.

Games for tonight
Well I am stuck at work and probably will be until about 8:30 or so. Here's a list of the games for tonight.
Atlanta at Rangers
Ottawa at Pittsburgh (and if I hear one more thing about Crosby I will pull my hair up there are other people in this series too ya know)
Vancouver at Dallas
Anaheim at Wild **if the Ducks win tonight they will complete the series sweep of this team...best of luck tonight**
Detroit at Calgary Calgary better win they will be at home and they better step it up...and do it in a strong way. HG will be pissed if they don't.
Teams in bold is who I am rooting for...if you take issue to it...I don't care.
I'm grumpy and at work so leave me love.
Also, if anyone knows of anyone who is going to liveblog any of these games let me know. I don't think I have it in me to do any of em...

Ducks vs Wild LIVEBLOG!!
7:45: It's about that time I am preparing myself for the game. Getting dinner and snacks and currently watching the Pens and Sens game. Alright be back soon!
8:00 Its time and it looks like I'm getting the Minnie feed...how obnoxious...GO DUCKS GO!
8:09 Anthem time...I don't like their girl...when I was at the Flyers game their girl was the best I have heard.
8:11 Bryzgalov is in net again for Ducks and Backstrom both these guys are great.
8:12 Time to Drop the Puck!!!
FIRST PERIOD
8:12 Those fans are loud!!
8:14 The Wild have to have some of the ugliest jerseys ever!!
8:15 What a save! Way to be Bryz!
8:19 Ducks go on the power play Gaborik goes off for hooking.
8:21 Excuse me Ducks you're on the power play...get it going.
8:22 There is 12:44 left in the first and Anaheim just called for hooking...not sure to whom yet its a tv timeout.
8:24 It's Rob Niedermayer in for hooking. Come on boys...kill this off.
8:27 Well they killed it off...thank goodness. Now they need to get it out of their zone.
8:31 Wild almost scored...thats insane. Bryz continues to amaze me.
8:34 Things are gettin angry in Minnie...what a series.
8:39 So I missed a penalty but Anaheim is on the powerplay.
8:40 POWER PLAY GOAL DUCKS!!! McDonald SCORES!!!
8:42 Ryan Shannon goes in for hooking. Come on Ducks...clear it.
8:45 Well I will be going back to the period time format for the next period. First period 1-0 DUCKS!
INTERMISSION
Haha there are guys wearing Chiefs jerseys. You go to box...you feel shame.
Pronger doesn't have a playoff beard...and it looks like he got a hair cut. Weird...
SECOND PERIOD
20:00 Let's go DUCKS! I freakin hate the Wild. Like more than a lot.
19:01 Wow Backstrom just keeps stoning the Ducks...amazing. Perry and Penner and Getz all had chances...I just can't believe it. I think he is a UFA this year...but I dunno.
15:38 Getzlaf tripped somebody and goes and sits in the box with a smile on his face. I love when they do that...he is quite the man. Wild are 0-12 on the power play in this series...not impressive.
14:02 Oh gosh Bryz is just getting peppered with shots keep on working Bryz!!
12:46 Well they killed it off and are controlling play right now. This game really isn't as exciting as I thought it would be.
9:29 The Wild announcers are such homers...how obnoxious. Somebody on the Wild took a penalty not sure who. Rolston hooked Pronger...BAD. So power play DUCKS!
8:16 The Wild are getting a bunch of short handed chances. There are hits everywhere it's starting to pick up.
7:14 Wild were able to kill it off...and didn't allow any shots on goal for that power play. Ducks...you are better than that!!
5:39 I dunno...Wild are going on a power play I will have to wait til they come back from break to see. It's Kunitz for tripping.
4:17 Bryz is just amazing. Glove saves...everything what can't he do...he just had a pretty sweet stick save too!!
2:59 Holy cow shot after shot on both ends of the ice...hits and hits...goodness this is stressful.
2:13 Backstrom and Teemu both got penalties. So 4 on 4 hockey. Backstrom should have stayed in his crease...I hate these damn announcers.
00:00 GOODNESS....it's over...Lord.
THIRD PERIOD
19:46 Adam Hall with a trip...BAD...GO DUCKS!!!
13:01 I'm still here....getting tired...and this is getting boring.
10:15 Rob Niedermayer scored!! GO DUCKS GO!!!
6:01 So I'm still here....nothing really going on. Wild can't get anything going and the Ducks are just stopping everything.
5:29 Apparently the Wild announcers are mentally challenged and said Bryz has been good but not great...uhm...I don't think we're watching the same game. I HATE YOU ANNOUNCERS!
3:29 Do you think Rob ever wonders why he's not as good as Scott? I mean Scott gets most of the attention and Robbie just hangs out on his little checking line checking people...I wonder if they get jealous of each other.
2: uh something...Beachamin (sorry don't feel like checkin spelling) got hit with a high stick and a puck it looked like...not sure what but he went back to the dressing room. it's ok though Ducks got this one in the bag.
1:21 A bit of a scrum just happened....the boys Travis Moen and Sammy Pahlson are in there for roughing and third man in I think. Randy Carlyle is smiling...I guess he feels confident. I dunno if the Wild took a penalty.
38.2 seconds left Wild score Nummelin. Come on Ducks...you can do it...let's get the sweep going.
00:00 DUCKS WIN!!!!!!! THATS RIGHT!!! 3-0 The SWEEP IS HEADING THIS WAY!!

If the playoffs started today...
If they playofffs started today for the Eastern Conference you would have:
1. Buffalo
2. New Jersey
3. Tampa Bay
4. Pittsburgh
5. Ottawa
6. Atlanta
7. Carolina
8. Toronto *yeah the Leafs....weird*
And, for the Western Conference:
1. Detroit
2. Anaheim
3. Vancouver
4. Nashville
5. San Jose
6. Dallas
7. Minnesota
8. Calgary
Ok so I don't really know what to write about but I figure I will just talk about the teams in my opinion what their strengths are and what their weaknesses are. So that should be fun eh?!
Buffalo...strengths...well I believe they are very good offensively and with the start they got this season they have themselves in a very good position being number 1 in the East. I think their weakness is their goalie situation. I know Ryan Miller was an all star (which doesn't mean anything) but I just don't think he's that good.
Detroit...strengths...very good defensively minded team. Also, a lot of the players on their team have playoff experience. This next thing I am going to say is a strength and a weakness...Hasek...yes he is an amazing goalie but at the same time you worry about his health. If he goes down I don't know that Osgood will be able to pull off a decent playoff run...but only time will tell.
New Jersey...strengths...Martin Brodeur and that crazy good defense they have...and they are amazing when it comes down to those 1 goal games. Weaknesses...sometimes their offense struggles...but then again...if they can get 1 or 2 goals Marty can do the rest.
Anaheim...strengths...talent...every single one of the guys on that team has talent oozing from them. They are a very complete team. Weaknesses I think sometimes they get too confident...and they lose sight of what they need to do.
Tampa Bay...strengths...offense...St. Louis...Lecavalier...Richards...but then their weakness is that's about all they have. Their goalie situation is far from ideal and their defense struggles.
Vancouver...strengths they are a great team with an amazing regular season goalie...but then a weakness pops up because you have no idea what Luongo is capable of doing in the playoffs.
Pittsburgh...strengths...Crosby and Malkin these kids are great talents to have on the ice and hard to catch. Weaknesses hardly any playoff experience.
Nashville...strengths 2 solid goal tenders...another very complete team. Weaknesses...again confidence and not a whole lot of playoff experience.
Ottawa...strengths...holy cow...Dany Heatley...Jason Spezza...have you seen these guys play?! Weaknesses Emery is a great goalie but I think he can get a little too confident sometimes...then there is Gerber...who I think has become a big flub.
San Jose...strengths...goalies...offense. Their goalies are amazing and their offense is wonderful...with a guy like Thornton on your team anything can happen. Weakness they seem to slump pretty easily. I don't know why...but confidence is not a problem for this team.
Atlanta...strengths offense...weakness...goalies. I honestly don't know much about this team so I just went with what I knew....so there ya have it haha.
Dallas...strengths...great regular season team...solid team. Weakness Turco is not a playoff goalie...but this Smith could could do it for them...he's great.
Carolina...strengths...well hell they won the Stanley Cup last year how's that for confidence? Weakness Cam Ward has proved this season that he is kind of a flop...I mean...he's good and he did win the Stanley Cup last year but was that a fluke?! I don't know I could be way off...they do have quite a bit of talent on this team though.
Minnesota...strengths great team very fun to watch...and they have an amazing coach. (Probably my favorite other than Hitch) Weakness...their goalie is injured right now...and well he has a knee injury so who knows how he is going to come back...although they did beat the Nashville Preds tonight.
Toronto...I don't even want to talk about this team...haven't won the cup in 40 years...probably won't for another 40...sorry for all you people who like the Leafs.
Calgary...strengths...great goalie in Kipper...great defense...hell great offense...aside from the San Jose Sharks probably one of the most complete teams out there. Weakness....Calgary has a weakness? Who knew...haha...I honestly can't think of anything...
IN OTHER NEWS!!!!!!!
Marty Brodeur got his 11th shutout of the season!!!! Atta boy Marty!!!!
