Oh yes...

Being a Columbus Blue Jackets fan these past couple of days, has been pretty boring. I think Truth Serum over at End of the Bench says it best, when he says,

"Blue Jacket fans, did you have fun watching the UFA frenzy yesterday? Sure, we all knew that the team would not be doing anything, but I felt as if I were attending a party where everybody was talking about their vacation homes in Vail or The Hamptons and I was bragging about Buckeye Lake."
That is honestly how I have felt the past couple of days. I mean I knew we wouldn't do anything, but I had faith that we would do something. We need a top line center to feed Nash. We need two top two defenseman. I'm not making this stuff up. Michael Arace says that we are looking to spend $3.39-$5.39 million dollars this off season. That's not going to get us much. But, it could get us something!! Aaron Portzline said in today's article that,
"Howson's goal at the start of free agency Sunday was to add one to three players, preferably two defensemen and one center"
Well, yeah, didn't I just say that's we needed?!

"There are still some big-name centers on the market -- Mike Comrie, Alexei Yashin and Dainius Zubrus -- although it's unlikely any of them will end up in Columbus.

Among the players who could fill the Blue Jackets' bill are Jozef Stumpel, Mike York, Trevor Linden or Wes Walz."

Trevor Linden, uhm, not so sure I want him. I mean, I love him, but I don't think that he is right for our hockey club. I mean they were saying we want a younger guy he's not so young. And, I just don't know I get that uneasy feeling. Portzline says that we will thankfully not be offering Sheldon Souray an offer. YAY!!

"Blue-liners Brent Sopel and Brad Stuart may be out of the Blue Jackets' range, but players such as David Tanabe, Vitaly Vishnevski, Janne Niinimaa, Danny Markov, Daniel Tjarnqvist, Ric Jackman and Ossi Vaananen may be on Howson's radar."

Yesterday, I said Stuart would be perfect for us. I would absolutely love having him on my team and I am pretty sure he would mesh well with all our other boys. I'm nor what else to say. Hopefuly something will happen today of some merit. Have faith Jackets fans.
